Special Announcement from MCM Executive Director and CEO, Bob Wilkerson
Dear Music City Mission Friends,
This release is being sent to inform you that Tuesday, June 26th, will be the last day of operations to the public at the 413 Veritas location. The property is being sold by its owner, The Tennessee District Church of the Nazarene, so Music City Mission must find a new location from which to operate.
It has been our joy to serve you these past ten years here in the South Nashville area. MCM has helped to bring hope and healing to thousands of Nashville families through a variety of services, ministries, special projects, and events. With the help of our friends and supporters, MCM will continue to do so in the future.
Times of transition are also times of great opportunity. I fully expect for there to be new opportunities greater then we’ve realized even in these past ten years. Greater opportunities, greater vision, and greater effectiveness, I believe, are all in MCM’s future.
I ask you, our friends, to prayerfully consider making a one-time special donation to help Music City Mission with moving and re-location expenses. We are searching for new property and new ways to be an even greater resource and blessing to those we serve. Donations may be made online atwww.musiccitymission.org by simply clicking, “Donate”, or through the mail at Music City Mission, 4636 Lebanon Pike, #133, Hermitage, TN 37076. All donations are tax exempt and you will be issued a receipt.
Please visit our website, http://www.musiccitymission.org for information and updates as they are available. Our contact information, as well as information about up-coming events is also on our website.
MCM is not a building, but rather people who have given tirelessly and selflessly of themselves for a decade and who will continue to do so.
MCM friends are people of hope, people of healing, and most of all people of love. Thank you, MCM friends, for
your continued prayers, support, and generosity. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
Healing the City One Life at a Time,

Ladies Luncheon 2012
April 2, 2012
Dear Friends,
It is hard to believe that Music City Mission’s Annual Ladies’ Luncheon is weeks away. This event is a special time for women coming out of domestic violence, or who are in drug and alcohol abuse programs, prostitution houses, and many other life-altering situations.
Each year we receive calls, letters and emails from numerous program directors and ladies in attendance who wish to thank MCM for restoring hope and showing love to these precious ladies.
Last year was one of our best luncheons. We welcomed over 125 women, 60 volunteers and our special guests, Greg and Nicol Sponberg along with Sabrina Shunn. They did an outstanding job of sharing their heartbreaking stories of loss, grief and abuse yet also testified to the hope found in Jesus Christ. It was a tremendous day.
We’ve been hard at work on our 2012 event for several months and are so excited to share it with the ladies. Friday, May 25, 2012, will be the date for this year’s luncheon. In order to allow more women to attend, Grace Church of the Nazarene (2620 Pennington Bend Road, Nashville, TN) will be the site for the luncheon. The luncheon will be from 11AM-2PM.
Our special guest will be Angie Smith, Women of Faith speaker and author and wife of Todd Smith, founder of the Contemporary Christian group, “Selah”. She is coming to share her incredible story. Angie is a dynamic speaker and we are excited to have her come. Dr. Beverly McManus will also be with us to emcee the event. Beverly is a Christian Counselor in Franklin, TN and has a heart for women, but more importantly, she has a heart for God.
We’ll also have special music, a delicious meal, and lots of special gifts for the ladies. We’ll also offer haircuts and massages and other surprises to make them feel special and loved.
We could not continue to have this life-changing event if it weren’t for our friends and supporters like you. Our total budget for this event is $2000. Would you prayerfully consider helping with this special event? You may send your tax deductible gift to Music City Mission, 4636 Lebanon Pike #133, Hermitage, TN 37076 or online, www.musiccitymission.org by clicking “Donate”. All donations are tax deductible and you will receive a receipt at the end of the year.
No amount is too small or too large and we believe God will use this day to bring healing and hope in the Name of Jesus to 200 hurting women.
If you would like to volunteer or know of a lady who would like to attend, please contact us at 615-788-1490 or musiccity.mission@yahoo.com as soon as possible so we can sign them up.
Again, thank you, friends, for your continued faith and trust in Music City Mission. It is our desire to be the hands and feet of Jesus in everything we do. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
Blessings,
Jennifer Wilkerson

February News!
We have a few things we want to share with you:
February Clothing drive- MCM needs clothing for all sizes and shapes! Why not go through your closet, drawers, totes and suitcases and get rid of some of those things you’ve outgrown! We have more and more families each week needing clothing and we need your help! Also, school uniforms in kids sizes 6 and up is always a need, so as your children outgrow their uniforms, please remember MCM. Donations can be accepted every Tuesday from 9:30-2:30 or other times. MCM Christmas Party and Benefit Concert!
Dear Friends,
Our Annual Christmas Party for Kids is just around the corner! This year’s special event will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2011 from 10AM-12PM. We’re especially excited this year because we are trying a new format for this event. We are asking individuals to “adopt” a child for Christmas this year so we can ensure that each child who attends receives something he/she wants/needs. Each child will complete a registration form and list items they would like and their clothing sizes. We we will distribute them to those who wish to “adopt” and support a child.
We’re excited to have Christian Magician Terry Hedges as our special guest. He will present a first-class presentation to the children that will not only entertain but that will also share the true story of Christmas- Jesus! We’ll have special treats, interactive music and some surprises!
We are very excited about this special event! We want you to be a part of it. Please consider adopting a child or volunteering. If you can not attend the party or adopt a child, we are accepting donations online at www.musiccitymission.org by simply clicking “donate” or you may send them to: Music City Mission attn: Christmas Party 4636 Lebanon Pike #133 Hermitage, TN 37076.

Night of Hope Invitation
Dear Friends,
Music City Mission has been “Healing the City, One Life at a Time” for 8 years and God has been faithful. He has allowed MCM to serve hundreds of families each month and offer them a cup of cold water in the Name of Jesus. We have been able to do this because of faithful friends and supporters such as you.
We would like to cordially invite you to our Second Annual Night of Hope Fund-raising Dinner on Tuesday, September 27,2011. Hor’dourves and a Silent Auction will begin at 6:30 PM and dinner will be served at 7:00 PM.
We have a great evening of special music with Billy Montana as well as Jeff and Sue Duffield. We’ll also share some special highlights and testimonies from this past year of ministry at Music City Mission. We are excited about all that will take place on this special evening and don’t want you to miss it.
In 2010, The Night of Hope raised just slightly under $5000. We give God praise! With these funds we were able to serve a Thanksgiving meal to many families. We also hosted our annual Christmas Party for Kids where we shared the Gospel with hundreds of children and families from several continents who had never before heard of Jesus.
We have three specific goals we need to raise money for this year: Our food pantry, Christmas Party for Kids and the Annual Ladies Luncheon. With your help, we believe we can raise $10,000 towards these three special projects and events.
There is no ticket required for this special night, but we do need an RSVP to Jennifer Wilkerson at musiccity.mission@yahoo.com or 615-788-1490, no later than September 20th. If you can not attend the dinner but would like to make a donation, you may do so online at www.musiccitymission.org by simply clicking “Donate.” We can also accept donations through the mail.
Again, we thank you for all your love and support in the past and we look forward to the future with great anticipation. We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, September 27.

Spring Updates
Dear Friends,
Music City Mission is entering into a busy time of year, yet much excitement is in the air too!
We have been blessed to have some wonderful groups of people come to MCM the past few weeks to volunteer and serve. A very special thank you to Western Hills Church of Christ and their youth group who came and worked very hard on numerous projects. Also to Grace Church of the Nazarene children and all of the adults who worked so efficiently sorting rice and beans for food boxes. Concord Community Church of the Nazarene has had two groups of adults come and work tirelessly on many projects as well. We thank you all so very much for your service to MCM.
Jack Myers, Director of Special Events is geared up for our annual Ladies Luncheon which will be held May 26th, 2011. We are very excited this year to have Greg and Nicol Smith Sponberg as our special guests. Fans of Christian Recording Artists’ “Selah” may remember Nicol as being a member of the trio and she now is a soloist and travels with her husband Greg sharing their story together. This is one of most special events that we have at MCM and it is truly a life changing day for so many hurting women. If you are interested in volunteering or you know of a lady who needs to attend this awesome event, please contact Jack Myers at 310-8463 or jackmcmd@aol.com. We also welcome donations to help us offset the cost of the luncheon. You may donate through mail or at our site homepage just click the “donate” button. Most of all, please pray with us for this special day that women’s lives will be changed.
We have partnered with ThriftSmart and are currently having a Clothing and Household Items Drive. Between now and May 31, we are accepting donations of clothing (all sizes) and household items (cooking ware, dishes, small appliances, etc…) We have special bags available at MCM that the items can be put into. Contact us and we can get you a bag or two of three to fill and return to us. Why not get a few bags and pass them out to your friends and family to fill? This is a great way to help MCM and many, many families who are in need.
We also want to give a special thank you to our Covenant Partners who so faithfully support MCM each month. It is not too late to become a Covenant Partner. In fact, I encourage you to pray and consider partnering with MCM and make a difference in the lives of many of Nashville’s families.
It’s 6 months away, but why not mark your calendars now and start telling your friends about our 5th Annual Benefit Concert on Friday, November 11, 2011 and will be held at Goodlettsville Church of the Nazarene. This awesome night will feature Bob and Jennifer Wilkerson, McMillan and Life and The Dixie Melody Boys. We are super excited about this special night. More information will be forthcoming but make plans now to join us!
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Rj Pimentel at 559-362-5750. He’d love to talk with you and get you plugged in.
If you have any questions, concerns or if we can be of assistance, please contact us. We are here to serve and want to continue “Healing the City, One Life at a Time.” Thank you, our friends, for helping us accomplish this.

February News and Events
Dear Friends,
It is hard to believe we are in the middle of February already. We are off to a running start at MCM and are so excited about what God is doing.
Recently, I went on tour with a gospel group and filled in for one of their singers. We sang in Texas on New Years Eve. I was behind our CD table and a gentleman came to me and told me that he had been homeless in Nashville about 5 years ago and had come to Music City Mission and received help. I was stunned. I was in a small town in Texas and someones life had been touched by what we do here in Nashville? I talked with him a little more and he thanked me for our ministry and said he is now married, living in Texas and has a great job. With tears in my eyes, I thanked the Lord that I have the privilege to share Him with so many hurting people.
We began our Covenant Partner Campaign in January and are already receiving new partners daily. We thank those of you who have responded. If you would like information about becoming a Covenant Partner, please contact us and we’ll get information to you. We hope you will prayerfully consider partnering with Music City Mission for the next 12 months and help us continue to reach many, many lives with hope, healing and the love of Jesus.
Music City Mission is in the process of making an “Ad book” as a fundraising tool. If you are a business owner or know someone who is and you would be interested in purchasing a layout in our book, please contact us and we’ll discuss this with you. The books will be given at our MCM concerts, Night of Hope and other events. Hundreds of families will be receiving them and this is a great way to show off your business or just to simply send a greeting to someone.
Looking ahead this Spring is going to be full of some great events. Jack Myers will be announcing more information very soon about our Annual Ladies Luncheon. We are very excited about this years luncheon and know God is going to bless and speak to many hurting ladies.
If you would like to volunteer, make a donation or any information, please contact us at musiccity.mission@yahoo.com or 615-788-1490.
We are excited about what God is doing at Music City Mission. Hearts and lives are being changed and we give God the glory. We thank you, our friends for your support. We hope and pray that you will keep MCM and our staff and volunteers in prayer. We have a great work to do and we are excited to share the Gospel of Jesus with each and every person we come in contact with.
God Bless You!
Jennifer Brewer Wilkerson
Director of Community Relations
Happy 2011
Music City Mission is so excited about this new year. 2011 will be MCM’s 9th year of service! God has indeed blessed us and we give Him praise!
We would like to thank those who gave of their time, talent and resources to our Christmas Party for Kids. It was a huge success. We had over 300 kids and gave out 1200 toys. It was such a joy to see so many smiling faces and happy families as we laughed, sang, heard the Gospel, met Santa and received gifts. The Hampel Family did an outstanding entertaining and sharing Jesus with the children. We can not say thank you enough to all of our volunteers for the toys and financial contributions. We also thank those who came and worked so hard during the week of the party and the day of the party. We could not have had such a successful party without our friends and supporters. We say a big THANK YOU!
We also want to remind our friends and supporters that MCM is a Donor Choice Agency with the United Way.If your employer has a giving campaign for charities, you can choose MCM as the agency to receive the funds. Our code is 4057. We hope you’ll consider Music City Mission this year!
Our newest member to the MCM team, Rj Pimentel is working very hard at getting volunteers each week. If you are interested in volunteering on Monday or Tuesday or any other time, please contact Rj. His information can be found on our “staff” page.
Music City Mission has also begun a Covenant Partner Campaign as of January 1, 2011. We have a goal to reach 50 Covenant Partners by June 1, 2011. We would like to ask you, our friends and supporters to consider partnering with us for $10, $15, $20 or even $25 a month. MCM only operates with the generous support of our friends. We would like to ask you to pray and consider partnering with us. Please contact us if you are interested, we’d be happy to send you a Covenant Partner Card by mail. We also have the convenience of pay pal as well. Please spread the word to your friends and family and help MCM reach our goal of 50 Covenant Partners!
We love and appreciate you and can not do what we do without our friends and supporters. Our goal is to continue to be the hands and feet of Jesus and to press on in our mission of “Healing the City, One Life at a Time.”
