Dear Friends,

It’s hard to believe school is out and that Summer is almost here. Music City Mission has been in full swing and busier than ever!

Last Friday we hosted our Annual Ladies Luncheon. It was one of the best ever! Women of Faith Author and Speaker, Angie Smith shared her powerful story of tragedy and triumph with the ladies and did an outstanding job. Melissa Greene, former soprano for Truth and Avalon sang and ministered in a powerful way. We were blessed to have these wonderful, godly women give of themselves and share. Dr.Beverly McManus of Beverly McManus Counseling,a Christian Counselor in Franklin, TN was our emcee and brought her wonderful warm, humble and gentle presence to the event and was first class in hosting. We had delicious food, wonderful vendors who came to offer the ladies hair-cuts, massages, health care, chiropractic care and other helpful and meaningful resources. We were also blessed with outstanding volunteers who worked tirelessly and sacrificially. We had prayer partners on hand to offer one on one prayer support to the ladies and that was a truly special time. It was a blessing to have these precious women pour their hearts out and tell us “Thank you for showing me love and hope today.” That is what it is all about- being the hands and feet of Jesus! Thank you to Grace Church of the Nazarene and Concord Community Church of the Nazarene for their financial support to help with this event. Also,Carol Carpenter who helped direct the event did an outstanding job and worked very hard. We also thank all of the individuals who made a donation on behalf of this precious event.

Many have asked about our Annual Christmas Party for Kids. It will be Saturday, December 15th from 10AM-12:30PM at Concord Community Church of the Nazarene in Brentwood, TN. More information will be coming in the next few months. Registration for the event will begin October 1. Watch our website for volunteer opportunities and to adopt a child.

We also want to thank Dr. Mike Shaub and Providence Chiropractic for the wonderful hygiene product drive for MCM. We were able to bless several families with much needed supplies because of Dr. Mike and his staff’s generosity.

MCM is hosting a canned goods and clothing drive for June and July. We need summer clothes of all sizes. We also are collecting non-perishable food items (canned vegetables, fruits, soups, macaroni and cheese, peanut butter, cereal) as well. If you are able to make a donation, please contact us at 615-788-1490 or drop by MCM on Tuesdays from 9AM-2PM. We appreciate your help!
