Dear Friends,

Happy July! We hope each one of you are enjoying your Summer and experiencing the blessings of the Lord. MCM has been in full swing and busier than ever.
At the end of May, we hosted our annual Ladies Luncheon. Jack Myers, Director of Special Events did an outstanding job coordinating this special day. We had over 120 ladies from numerous life-altering situations attend and they were ministered to and treated to a special day. Our special guests were Greg and Nicol Sponberg. Nicol was formerly of the Contemporary Christian Group, Selah and she and her husband Greg have a powerful ministry. They brought along some special friends who also ministered to the ladies that day. The ladies were treated to massages from Anthem Career College, a delicious meal, beautiful dinner music and special gifts. Our special thanks to the many volunteers who came and supported this special event. It is truly a team effort and we give thanks for each of you and your time and labor of love.
A special thank you to all of those who participated in our Thrift Smart Drive. It was a huge success. We’re already planning one for the late fall so be on the look out for information about that!
We’ve been blessed to have teams of volunteers come in and serve. Whether individually or as a group, we appreciate your hard work and service. If you’re interested in volunteering or plugging in, please contact us via our website.
It’s hard to believe that we’re already beginning our “Back to School Drive.” School supplies are out at the stores and the kids will be back in school before we know it. We have many parents who come to MCM who need backpacks, school uniforms and school supplies for their children. When you’re out shopping for your kids, why not fill a back pack with a few basic school supplies and drop it off at MCM. Maybe your kids have out grown last years school uniforms and you’d like to donate them?  Or, fill a bag with crayons, pencils, notebooks, scissors, glue, and pens? If you’d rather, you may  go to our website, www.musiccitymission.org and click the “Donate” button, you can specify your gift to go towards the “Back to School Drive” and we’ll take care of the rest! Remember, all gifts are tax deductible and your will receive a receipt.
